Jesse is a Senior Engineering Manager in the Nashville office. When he isn’t taking selfies with the Culture Club’s drink cart, you can find him hard at work leading the FiFo Team!

How long have you been a Briteling?
4.5 years
Give us the tl;dr on your role
I’m a Senior Engineering Manager that spends some of my time on people management and some on Financial Engineering Strategy.
What has been your favorite project to work on at Eventbrite?
Tiny Tim and the road to IPO.
What were you doing before Eventbrite and what inspired you to join the team?
Mobile payment processing in Los Angeles. I wanted to be back home in Nashville while continuing to work with a forward-thinking west coast tech company.
What’s your favorite part of your Briteland?
Drink Cart!

Have you gotten to travel to any of the other Britelands? What was it like?
Yes. Shout out to my great friends in the Mendoza, Vancouver, and San Francisco offices. Each has its own style and culture, but all are filled with incredible people that I consider family. Spain — you’re next!
Has your role changed since you’ve been here? If yes, how has it changed?
Yes. Software Engineer -> Senior Software Engineer -> Team Lead -> Engineering Manager -> Senior Engineering Manager. I write less code than I used to but I still aim to have the highest impact on the Engineering organization as possible.

What are you most passionate about outside of work?
I make video games and try to see as much live music as possible. I enjoy bringing people together. I also like hanging at home with my partner of 5 years, Noel, and my dog, Yogurt.
If Hollywood made a movie about your life, who would you cast to play you?
Tommy Wiseau.
