One important way we do this is by supplying them with the best possible educational and inspirational content available to organisers of all shapes and sizes, completely free. By offering thousands of articles, infographics, templates, research papers and more, we serve as a valuable publisher to the industry, help our customers, and attract news ones to our platform.
You’ll be part of the UK and Ireland Marketing team, where we’re tasked with acquiring new customers through scalable, impactful and integrated campaigns. You will be joining an award-winning Content Marketing operation, helping to lead its future growth strategy and deliver world-class content to our large and rapidly expanding audience, based in our central London offices and reporting into the Marketing Director.
Your role is central to our continued success, as you will manage a regular cadence of industry-leading content that positions us as the thought leader in the exciting and dynamic events industry.
Collaboratively setting the content strategy, working with the rest of the UK team to ensure it covers all stages of the funnel and all core markets
Considering and optimising for SEO & social media in your planning, so we attract high value traffic from these organic channels
Creating high quality, original content yourself
Managing freelancers and guest bloggers to scale our content production capacity, while maintaining a high level of quality and our authentic voice
Working with industry partners and influencers to create strong relationships that will help inform your content strategy and amplify our reach
Taking a leadership position internally to evangelise the power of great content, educating and informing team members on what makes for excellent content
This is an office based role in London. May require some travel
5+ years of experience in content marketing, journalism or SEO based roles
A flare for language, and a passion for finding and telling great stories that resonate with a target audience
Strong, data-driven approach to planning and strategy, you will be comfortable with a wide range of research tools, Google Analytics and ideally marketing automation systems such as Marketo that will inform your decision-making
You will be a self-starter who is able to take the initiative, a creative thinker, tenacious, a relationship builder and a team player
Ability to work at pace and to deadlines, applying order to a shifting landscape
Flexible, positive attitude, where you’re comfortable working in a fast-changing environment
Multimedia experience such as podcasting, video editing or design
Use of SEO and other digital tools to find and validate topics of interest
Some knowledge of HTML and CSS would be beneficial
Experience of working in or around the events industry, in particular with festivals or music venues
Active Eventbrite user with a passion for live events
2:1 in English, Journalism or Media Studies from leading university
