THE CHALLENGE

Over the past 10 years, the Eventbrite team has grown from a small but mighty group in San Francisco to a global community of 800+ employees in over 10 countries. We are scaling our People Operations team to support our domestic and international expansion, and continue our investment in our #1 asset: our people (our “Britelings”).


We are looking for a Benefits Manager  in our San Francisco, CA HQ to join our growing People Operations team.


THE TEAM

Eventbrite’s HR/People Operations team is dedicated to creating and delivering an exceptional Briteling experience at every stage of the employee lifecycle.  We provide efficient and seamless partnership, people processes, policies, systems, and programs to our teammates. THE ROLE

Reporting to the Head of HR, the Benefits Manager is responsible for the day to day administration of all Briteling benefit programs and implementation of new benefits initiatives.  You will provide exceptional customer service support to Britelings  on benefit matters, facilitate enrollments in benefits and new program roll-outs, and recommend improvements to service and delivery. You will be part of our larger Briteling Experience function which includes: HR Business Partners, People Operations, Recruiting, and Facilities, IT, and Program Management.  


YOU WILL

  • Implement, administer, and communicate global benefit programs such as 401k/pension, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, voluntary programs, wellness, etc., to our Britelings around the globe
  • Resolve Briteling benefits questions or concerns, support benefits implementation and administration including US open enrollment process, and design and distribute benefits communication materials to employees and managers
  • Help manage vendor relationships and conduct regular audits in vendor systems to ensure compliance with plan structure and company policy
  • Work closely with our Senior HR Systems Analyst to manage our benefits and leaves in Workday
  • Oversee and manage leave of absences (disability, parental leave, etc.) 
  • Develop and/or participate in compensation surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary information to determine company's competitive position 
  • Partner with HRBPs, Finance, Recruiting and other parts of our business to provide insight and guidance related to compensation for our people and candidates
  • Review requests for new or revised role leveling to determine appropriate grade assignment
  • Ensure compliance with employment-related federal and state statutory requirements regarding employee pay and benefits, and remain up-to-date on current compensation-related legislation

THE SKILL SET

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in benefits administration including compensation and benefits analysis, headcount planning, and process improvement
  • Experience in the tech industry 
  • Knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, Paid Paternity Leave and other related benefits regulations
  • Deep knowledge of Federal, California, and San Francisco compensation and benefits law, or the desire to learn and develop deep knowledge of same 
  • Strong Excel and data visualization skills and experience in building dashboards and automating reports 
  • Superb judgment and integrity, including excellent decision making skills and a bias to action
  • Personal leadership: ability to lead and influence at all levels
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative work style; ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to manage through ambiguity and competing priorities
  • Can-do, make it happen attitude
  • Open to giving and receiving feedback
