Eventbrite officially opened our Australia office in March 2014, building on a strong organic business where over a hundred thousand events had been hosted on the platform before boots were on the ground. Our Australian team is focused on continuing growth through brand awareness and marketing and targeting events where our product is a great fit to help organisers be more successful. The team is made up of three primary functions: Business Development, Marketing, and Customer Success. We’re a growing team of over 25 people, and we help each other out as we work towards our shared vision of making Eventbrite a household name when it comes to live experiences.
What makes working in the Business Development team at Eventbrite so exciting? We are building a best-in-class organisation comprised of motivated and talented go-getters. You’ll be working with event organisers of everything from music festivals to concert venues to complicated registrations for mud runs, beer festivals, conferences, and much more. Our horizontal platform means no one conversation with a potential client is the same. There is no script, no one-size-fits-all solution. We’re consultative and ambitious experts in business development, and we train and invest in our smart, goal-oriented team to grow their careers here at Eventbrite.
In the near future, the majority of Eventbrite’s business will come from outside of the United States. The company is currently in a phase of strong international growth, with offices in 11 countries and having powered events in over 180 countries. In Australia, we have ambitious growth plans for the ANZ market, with the potential to enter the greater AsiaPac region. We’re looking for scrappy and fearless team members to be part of this growth story.
You will be responsible for partnering with and advising prospects on our unique value proposition, evangelising our solution and ensuring that the broader market understands how we are shaking up the way ticketing is done. The SMB market is a rich and dynamic space within the events landscape, and we're looking for a start-up oriented candidates to bring their creative problem solving skills, excellent communication and competitive drive to the team.
Ideal candidates have a minimum three years’ experience in a business development (or similar) role, and have worked in a growth-stage environment. They possess a convincing personality, and a passion for working with customers to bring them onto our platform. They are detail oriented, driven to raise the bar of success, and eager to deliver compelling presentations to all levels within a prospect account.
