Joining our highly successful marketing team, the Content Specialist will be responsible for translating all that’s happening in the APAC region into the best editorial vehicles across our product


THE ROLE


We’re looking for a Content Specialist who thinks creatively and strategically about content, and can bring the diverse experiences on the Eventbrite platform to life for our event creators. You will be responsible for helping us localise and develop digital content that supports our marketing team’s goal to position Eventbrite as the go-to destination for live experiences in the APAC region. 


As a Content Specialist, you’ll help bring the latest trends and most interesting voices to Eventbrite, translating all that’s happening in the APAC region into the best editorial vehicles across our product. You will work to ensure quality of stories and consistency of messaging by editing and fact-checking across a range of content formats. 


To be successful in this role you will have an undeniable passion for developing strong, results-driven content. You’ll understand how to leverage thought-leadership, case studies and news-driven topics to attract, nurture and convert high-value event organisers to the Eventbrite platform. Eventbrite’s content is a well-developed function that has been honed over years and across regions. We place a strong emphasis on developing high quality content that is valued by our event organisers, demonstrates our expertise, and showcases our brand purpose and values. 


You will thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment and be comfortable getting your hands dirty across multiple content projects and their administration. In short — you’ll help to edit, write, and localise content that truly differentiates our brand. 

YOU WILL

  • Execute against Eventbrite’s content strategy that is grounded in a deep understanding of our brand, products and within the context of our market, in order to build awareness, generate demand and acquire new event organisers.
  • Contribute to a collaborative global content planning and production process with regional and category content teams
  • Deliver against the end-to-end process and project management for content development, including eBooks, case studies, tip sheets, webinars and more — these will be a mixture of repurposed and new materials
  • Learn and understand the needs and challenges of Eventbrite’s prospects and customers at different phases of their lifecycle
  • Have the ability to explain complex problems, product features and concepts in simple, empathetic and jargon-free language using Eventbrite’s voice
  • Collaborate with local contractors to provide project briefs, edit content, and maintain a high standard of writing across all channels 
  • Collaborate with local and international Product, Marketing, SEO, Email, and Design teams to distribute, repackage, and test content, continually innovating and optimising our approach.

THE SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Creative Writing, or related field
  • 2 - 3 years of professional editing or writing experience, preferably for a lifestyle brand or agency
  • Excellent writing, copywriting, editing, communication, and organisational skills
  • Strong editing skills, with the ability to quickly identify style and grammar errors
  • Experience interviewing customers to develop written testimonials, case studies, and incorporate these into other content
  • Demonstrated understanding of content distribution strategies across various channels and platforms
  • Data-driven mindset and understanding of how to measure the performance of various types of content marketing programs
  • Experience with the tools we use to power our marketing efforts (e.g. Wordpress, G-Suite, Marketo, Salesforce)
