THE CHALLENGE

Over the past 10 years the Eventbrite team has grown from a small but mighty group in San Francisco to a global community of over 1,200 employees. A major focus of our strategic plan has been an investment in the large opportunity across continental Europe. The interim Content Strategy Manager, Europe will play a crucial role in how event creators consider us, enabling us to acquire and retain customers, and build our brand in multiple markets. 


THE TEAM

The Eventbrite Marketing team is a centralised, multi-disciplinary group of marketers, strategists, designers, storytellers and creators, who work across product groups and functions. We are designing the future and the today of the Eventbrite brand through every interaction within and outside of the product. We are specialists within our individual areas of expertise and collaborators to connect with, and support our customers at every touchpoint. Within continental Europe Eventbrite’s Marketing team is based primarily in the UK and our campaigns reach event creators in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Spain, Benelux and beyond. 


THE ROLE

We’re looking for a creative, experienced and results-driven editorial content marketing professional to cover an initial 8 month maternity contract role in our Cork City office. The successful candidate will have a seasoned editorial eye and strong experience in content strategy creation, content development, content distribution and measurement of results. 


As the Content Strategy Manager for Europe you will be responsible for the planning, production and distribution of world-class editorial content across our key European markets to grow our European audience, drive new customers and retain existing customers. In this role, you’ll work side-by-side with Brand, Acquisition and Retention teams, as well as Sales leaders and other teams, to grow Eventbrite in Europe.

YOU WILL

  • Contribute to the quarterly global content strategy through your vision and insights on B2B editorial and other content type best practices
  • Own the European strategy for content production and distribution, creating quarterly and monthly content plans that will grow our business in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Spain, Benelux and beyond
  • Manage the day-to-day relationships and decision-making with partners including our Europe content agency, translation partner and any contractors that may be required
  • Track performance and continuously optimise the content production, including the quantity and types of content published 
  • Collaborate with other team members to define the content requirements, plans and processes, and to ensure content targets are met for the European team’s demand generation and creator self-sign-on funnels
  • Produce and publish a range of editorial content types including eBooks, case studies, tip sheets and more - these will be a mixture of repurposed and new materials, the ratio of which you will define with your global content colleagues
  • Establish content partnerships with other like-minded organisations to reach new audiences via non-Eventbrite owned channels
  • Own reporting and measurement of content performance in Europe, and share on-going results and updates with key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the rest of the European marketing team so they understand campaign messaging, asset plans, and timelines for how their work will support or integrate with campaigns
  • Oversee the back-end production, optimisation and publication of all blog content with agency support
  • Manage the European content budget

THE SKILL SET

  • 3+ years of experience in B2B marketing 
  • Excellent writing, copywriting, editing, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of content distribution strategies across various channels and platforms
  • Adept at thinking strategically while also having a keen eye for seeing and managing the details
  • Data-driven mindset and understanding of how to measure the performance of various types of content marketing programs
  • Experience with content audits, gap analyses and customer journeys
  • Experience of blog optimisation and publication (preferably on the Wordpress platform)
  • Experience of working with agencies and multiple stakeholders would be a bonus
