THE CHALLENGE

There are exciting things going on behind the scenes at Eventbrite.  Our product portfolio is growing and we are rapidly expanding into new international markets. Given our growth, our business has become more complex and dynamic.  Our Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis team is evolving its capabilities to address the increased complexity while partnering with Executive leadership, guiding the business throughout this critical phase.  Our goal is to provide leadership with accurate, insightful, and action-oriented guidance for decision-making.  


THE TEAM

The FP&A crew works cross-functionally with Executive leaders and frontline managers across Eventbrite to inform and influence decision-making through timely, accurate analytics, and data-driven business recommendations.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Finance Manager with a can-do attitude who is willing to challenge traditional thinking and pursue new territory with an entrepreneurial spirit and sense of ownership.  As an experienced, business-minded, and creative problem solver, you will help guide the strategy of global compensation while being a critical component to the broader Corporate Finance team.  In this role, you will be an analytic partner to our CFO, VP of Finance, Compensation Committee, and Briteling Experience leader (HR) to guide Eventbrite’s evolving headcount and compensation structure in our pursuit of living at the intersection of happiness and high performance.  You will partner and support the broader Corporate Finance and FP&A teams ensuring an accurate and timely Monthly and Quarterly reporting process.


This role has two important charters. First, you will be looked to an expert on analytics. You will run analysis of market data and internal data in order to provide recommendations on the structure of compensation for our global teams. By providing insight and leadership, you will help guide our Executive Team and internal committees through creating frameworks and analysis which help them evaluate or create strategies for attracting, retaining and engaging our global workforce.  You’ll also work directly with the internal compensation committees to evolve our worldwide compensation philosophy while providing analysis of programs we have in place.


Second, as a member of the Corporate FP&A team you will own and manage forecasting, planning and evaluating company-wide headcount and compensation.  You will work directly with other functional FP&A managers to manage the annual planning and monthly forecasting cycles and provide materials for periodic reporting.

THE SKILL SET

  • 4 - 8 years of experience working as an analyst/individual contributor in a fast-paced environment at growth/scaling stage business(es) and partnering with increasing levels of responsibility
  • An analytical mindset comfortable with developing frameworks to aid decision making
  • Ability to communicate persuasively with business partners to resolve highly complex issues while recommending or producing the best solutions
  • Experience forecasting and managing complex excel and Financial planning models
  • Strong communication and executive presence
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a related or quantitative technical field (Statistics, Engineering, Math, Economics, Computer Science, etc.)

BONUS POINTS

  • Knowledge of compensation and/or Human Resources experience
  • Experience providing compensation strategy guidance to Boards, Executive leaders, and Compensation Review Teams
  • Adaptive Insights and Workday HCM experience
  • Active Eventbrite user with a passion for live events
