THE CHALLENGE

Eventbrite’s Treasury practice is focused on optimising the firm’s balance sheet, while partnering with the business to facilitate growth and protect the organisation's assets. We collaborate with internal and external partners to provide analysis and support to the CFO and strategies implemented to drive growth. You’ll make creative yet calculated decisions that are backed by both experience and your knowledge of finance and Eventbrite’s business. 


THE TEAM

As a member of the Treasury team, you're always looking for innovative ways to protect Eventbrite’s balance sheet, optimise liquidity, and manage risk. You’ll partner with stakeholders throughout the firm and play a significant role as you analyse and manage the firm’s banking, payment, and risk programs. The Treasury Operations Manager will act as a strategic advisor to the business and develop relationships with key partners to optimise Eventbrite’s balance sheet.    


THE ROLE

The Finance organisation is tasked with developing creative solutions to complex financial issues. As a Treasury Operations Manager, you’ll work cross functionally with other teams and externally with Eventbrite’s corporate banking, risk, and finance partners to assist the organisation in achieving its goals in balance sheet optimisation.  Your knowledge as it pertains to Eventbrite’s product will play an extensive role in managing cash, executing investments, and leading administrative functions for our bank and insurance relationships. This multidimensional role calls for relationship management, exceptional analytical skills, and a desire to learn how to govern balance sheet functions.


Bank Operations and Strategy:

You will maintain relationships with domestic and international banking partners and undertake global account administration and management, including audit, compliance and system related requests. Partnering with key members of finance to execute funding, wires, and other bank related transactions in an efficient manner and managing various classifications of accounts including investment, merchant, and operating accounts are key responsibilities of the role.  

You will own the regional cash management process and partner with teams in finance to forecast activity and assist with procuring financial products for broader strategies including guarantees and lines of credit and drive the operational components around entity-level funding, and arranging capital for strategic initiatives.  


Risk Management:

You will contribute to periodic FX risk assessment as needed and assist with compiling data and deliverables for corporate risk and insurance initiatives. Partnering with banks, brokers, and insurance companies to address risk needs specific to Eventbrite and manage PSD2 compliance and risk on a local level are key responsibilities of this role.

THE SKILL SET

  • 7+ years experience of increasing responsibility in Treasury
  • College degree with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, or other quantitative discipline 
  • Experience with 404/SOX compliance Background working with PSD2-ECB compliance measures 
  • Cash forecasting and management
  • Advanced use of Excel and (or) google sheets
  • Ability to manage relationships and partner with external partners as necessary

BONUS POINTS

  • Quantitative analysis (experience constructing models)
  • Experience managing transactions and workflows through Kyriba
  • Basic knowledge about risk management (fx and insurance)
  • Experience working with international organisations
