THE CHALLENGE

Eventbrite is growing rapidly and becoming a truly global company. The finance team in Amsterdam is responsible for all financial matters in Europe. In our role as the finance hub for Europe, we work together with Corporate Accounting in San Francisco to align financial operational processes and to ensure high quality financial information.


THE TEAM

Our team plays a key role in helping the company make business decisions and to inform our various stakeholders of the financial position of Eventbrite. In addition we strive to be a business partner to our geographical locations by ensuring efficient and effective business processes.


THE ROLE

You will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger, performing monthly closing procedures, payroll accounting and tax reporting. You’ll collaborate closely with your team members in the Netherlands as well as the United States and with your business partners in Europe. You will be the main point of contact for providing background on the financials, in order to enable high quality financial reporting. You will own the general ledger and be responsible for ensuring transactions are recorded accurate, complete and in a timely fashion. In this role you will report to the European Financial Controller.

THE SKILL SET

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Comfortable with working in an international environment
  • Able to manage the general ledger for 10+ different entities
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • Solid Excel knowledge
  • Great analytical skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or better in a financial study

  • Experience within a marketplace tech company
  • Active Eventbrite user with a passion for live events
