THE ROLE

The General Manager, Asia Pacific will report to the Chief Commercial Officer who is based in San Francisco, CA. Based in our Melbourne office, the General Manager will lead the strategy and team to win the APAC region through a hybrid sales and Self Sign On (SSO) model. This position will own regional revenue goals and drive all of the go-to-market strategy, product/market fit, sales and account management and marketing in region and partner with global teams. The GM, APAC will oversee roughly 35+ employees.  


The ideal candidate will be an inspirational leader, who has the ability to scale a region and implement a successful go-to-market strategy. S/he will be a strong people leader and have built out a regional sales organization. The General Manager, Asia Pacific will have a customer centric mentality which informs her/his objectives for the business.

YOU WILL

  • Lead and grow the Eventbrite team in region, building on our award winning global culture
  • Drive go-to-market efforts and accelerate business through locally sustainable growth
  • Deliver Eventbrite’s core business strategy, to enable more creators to sell more tickets in more markets. 
  • Envision and own the regional growth hypotheses of new markets and segments.
  • Drive local go-to-market efforts and accelerate business, sustainably.
  • Own topline revenue goals, opex, and P&L.
  • Partner closely with the global strategy and product teams to ensure a successful local strategy and ultimately connect the product and platform to the creator 
  • Continue to improve the customer experience and increase the overall NPS score for their creators 

THE SKILL SET

  • Have led a business and/or division and P&L, from strategy through to execution. 
  • Have owned a commercial, product, pricing, marketing and sales strategy to drive revenue growth.
  • Have a background in operating leadership roles in technology, sales/marketing and/or multinational company. Bonus if combined with an analytical discipline such as management consulting or financial services. 
  • Be customer centric, highly analytical and operationally savvy.
  • Be scrappy, agile, commercial with the ability to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Be a highly analytical and a strong structured problem solver
  • Be a sophisticated people leader, with a track record of attracting top talent and building world class teams
  • Have seen scale past where Eventbrite is today (1,000+ employees and $400M+ in revenue) 
  • Have a track record of attracting top talent and building world class teams 
  • Have an entrepreneurial spirit and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment
