The Eventbrite Marketing team is a centralized, multi-disciplinary group focused on acquiring, retaining, and building a world-class brand that resonates with both event creators and event goers. We are data driven and biased towards action, and put the customer at the center of everything we do. We are specialists within our individual areas of expertise and work together to connect with and support our customers. 


As the Head of Community, you will be at the helm of nurturing Eventbrite’s event creator community, positioning the brand as the trusted choice for live experiences around the world. If you’ve ever dreamed of having a significant impact in the event space, this is it.  We are looking for a proven leader who brings people management experience, event production and programming expertise, and impeccable communication and relationship building skills, to create enduring programs that drive measurable impact.  A successful candidate will be a master community builder with a track record of leveraging event programs and digital tools to drive engagement at scale. You’ll partner closely with internal teams and external agencies to concept and execute projects at the highest level, ensuring delivery of impactful experiences that drive loyalty and brand advocacy.  Reporting to the Sr. Director of Global Marketing, this full-time role is based in San Francisco with the option of working remotely. 


  • Own the development and execution of the community strategy, making it central to the way Eventbrite engages its customers. 
  • Lead a team of community managers, contractors, and agencies to execute community programs that drive measurable results.
  • Concept and produce best-in-class events programs, ranging from intimate gatherings to multi-day conferences, both in-person and offline. 
  • Oversee the creation and management of a digital community hub which will feature forums for event organizers to network and skill share.
  • Build deep relationships with Eventbrite’s most influential event organizers. 
  • Drive internal employee engagement in community programs, working cross-functionally to build a collation of enthusiastic supporters across the organization. 
  • Leverage data to measure the effectiveness of community programs and use this information to iterate and evolve future initiatives.


  • At least 8 years of experience in marketing, customer success, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of people management experience and a strong track record of external partner management.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence leaders across an organization.
  • Exceptional budget management, negotiation, and organizational skills. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • A true self-starter, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for live experiences.

We are currently working on becoming compliant with the new regulations in Colorado. Until we are able to do so, this role cannot be performed in Colorado
