Head of Investor Relations

With our recent IPO, we are looking for a leader to develop our investor relations strategy. This individual will partner closely with our Executive Management team, Board of Directors, and key business stakeholders to clearly communicate our investment story to investors. In addition, this individual will play an important role in educating investors about our business. 


This role will be a part of our CEO and CFO strategy team. From this position, the person in this role will work closely with both the CEO and CFO on planning and executing investor relations strategy, as well as participating in and understanding the overall strategy process broadly. This person will report to the CFO but work extensively with the CEO as well. 



As the head of investor relations, you’ll be responsible for creating a global investor relations strategy. This includes:

- Overseeing the quarterly earnings cycle process, including preparation of our prepared remarks and press release, potential analyst Q&A, regulatory filings and other related materials in conjunction with Finance, Legal, Communications and outside parties

- Developing the overall investor outreach strategy, focused particularly on direct engagement with target investors

- Educating investors about Eventbrite, including the optimal strategy to engage with investors in person and over the phone, 1:1 or in groups

- Partnering with management team to better understand investor views about the company and feed this information appropriately back into our strategy

- Overseeing Eventbrite’s investor relations website and preparation of relevant publications

- Maintaining strong company and sector expertise including managing coverage of comparable company analysis and benchmarking and peer earnings reviews

- Partnering on any special projects including capital markets, corporate development and various other corporate events

- Developing an appropriately prioritized sell-side engagement strategy, including analysts and conferences

- Ability to develop and structure non-deal roadshows without banker support, including the preparation senior executives as required

- Appreciating that it is the management’s job to build the business, not try to control the stock price


  • 5-10 years of experience in investor relations, sell-side research and/or investment banking within the technology sector
  • Strong analytical skills, including highly proficient financial modeling skills and understanding of valuation concepts used by investors and analysts 
  • Excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing abilities; ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior managers and external business partners
  • Possess a strong understanding of financial statements as well as the markets
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, multitask and deliver quality work under pressure
  • Attention to detail and the highest standards for accuracy and precision
  • MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Internet proficiency 
  • Bachelor's degree required


  • Direct experience as an investor or part of an investment team
  • CFA
  • MBA or equivalent
  • Sense of humor
  • Ability to put the vicissitudes of the capital markets in perspective for the company
  • An ability to go a full week without looking at the stock price
