Head of Marketing - UK & Ireland

Full-time | London | England | United Kingdom

Eventbrite is one of the largest and most popular event ticketing and registration platforms in the world, hosting more than 2.5 million events each year across the globe.  In the near future, the majority of Eventbrite’s business will come from outside of the United States. The company is currently in a phase of strong international growth, with offices in 11 countries and having powered events in over 180 countries. In the UK & Ireland, we have ambitious growth plans and are looking for a marketing leader to drive this continued growth.

The UK & Ireland is one of Eventbrite’s fastest growing and most important markets, where every year we empower tens of thousands of event organisers to achieve their goals using Eventbrite’s platform. The UK & Ireland Marketing team is responsible for driving continued business growth in the region across all stages of the marketing lifecycle, including brand awareness, customer acquisition and retention, and demand generation.

Reporting directly into the General Manager - UK & Ireland, you’ll be a key part of the region’s leadership team, helping to define overall strategy and ensuring continued rapid growth and commercial success.  In this role, you’ll provide leadership to the London based marketing team, set the marketing strategy and ensure effective execution.  You’ll also work closely with our international marketing teams based in San Francisco and other Eventbrite markets. We’re looking for a strategic and creative marketing leader, who can lead and mentor a team, think commercially, and is both innovative and data-driven. You’ll be responsible for closely partnering with your team and others throughout the organisation (including London-based Business Development and Account Management teams, and the SF-based global Marketing team).

A successful candidate will be a strategic and analytical thinker, who blends deep experience in B2B marketing with creative energy that inspires action.  You keenly understand acquisition marketing and demand generation, and have a strong sense for how to use a range of marketing channels to drive growth throughout the customer acquisition funnel and beyond.  You have led teams before, and are comfortable operating in markets with multiple customer segments and verticals as well as a range of customer value tiers.

You have experience in marketing to both the long-tail of the market as well as up-market, and are versed in the tactics used to communicate in both environments.  You value data and use insights to inform marketing plans, and are able to optimise ROI effectively.

This is an office based role in London. May require some travel.

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing leadership, preferably in a technology marketing organisation
  • Experience marketing in a B2B demand generation funnel, driving MQLs and SQLs
  • Deep familiarity with content marketing, organic and paid social media, email marketing, consumer marketing, field marketing, PR & influencer marketing and funnel optimisation
  • Balance strong bias towards action and initiative with experience driving alignment amongst multiple internal stakeholders
  • With a strongly data-driven approach, you’ll be comfortable using tools like Google Analytics and CRM systems such as Marketo to inform your decision making
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly creative with a leaning towards innovative approaches to marketing and problem solving
  • A strong eye for detail and accuracy
  • Commercially focused
  • Flexible, positive attitude, where you’re comfortable working in a fast-changing environment
  • Minimum 2:1 degree from a leading university

  • Experience marketing within a 2 sided marketplace (B2B / consumer)
  • Familiarity with PPC, SEO
  • Experience in public speaking and as a media spokesperson
  • Active Eventbrite user with a passion for live events

Eventbrite powers ticketing and registration for more than two million live experiences each year, hosting the world’s largest online selection of events. We build technology that allows anyone to create, share, find and attend events of all kinds. Music festivals, marathons, conferences, hackathons, political rallies, fundraisers, gaming competitions— you name it, we power it. Meet some of the team.
