THE CHALLENGE

We need to pay competitively to attract and retain the talent we need in order to win, balance consistency with the parallel need to reward high performance, and design our total rewards practices that ultimately spurs results. That is where you come in!

 

THE TEAM

Our Briteling Experience (BX) team is charged with attracting, engaging, and retaining the diverse talent we need to win. We seek to understand the conditions of each team around the globe and lead solutions (increasingly proactively) to build the employee experience necessary for Britelings to perform exceptionally.

 

THE ROLE & IMPACT

We are looking for a Head of Global Total Rewards to design, develop, and execute our global Total Rewards programs. This individual will lead a team driving all things compensation and benefits, including base pay, variable/incentive bonus plans, equity-based programs, and an evolving / competitive global benefits program. This means tight coordination and collaboration with our internal teams as you both launch, and evolve, total rewards initiatives. 


If successful, this individual will be widely respected as taking us from a solid structure we have today to leading the total rewards charge for the solutions we need for tomorrow. This is amidst a backdrop of dizzying trends such as the nationalization of pay rates as remote and hybrid work increase, changing economic & pandemic conditions around the globe, the need for creativity in the war for talent, a push for greater transparency in pay, linking total rewards not only to external benchmarks but also to what matters most to employees by level / function / geo and at the same time supporting a culture of high performance and shareholder value.

 

This role reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer and can be based remotely in the US.

 

THE FOCUS:

Contribute to Eventbrite’s success with a thoughtful and robust Total Rewards strategy that drives business objectives and supports, rewards and recognizes talent globally with effective and efficient solutions, and achieves optimal utilization of our budget and resources 

Establish yourself as the trusted advisor, leader, and subject matter expert to partner with the Executive Team and create materials for the Board of Directors Compensation Committee

Work cross-functionally with global leaders, key partners, and within the Briteling Experience (BX) team to successfully design, strengthen, and implement a Total Rewards strategy to attract and retain employees

Ensure global compensation structure and benchmarking is competitive and aligned with our philosophy within all regional markets

Drive successful design, execution and communication of reward programs, such as salary/promotion review, equity programs, bonus programs, and executive compensation reviews

Ensure global benefits program and plans meet the evolving needs of our Britelings in an innovative way across all regional markets

The SKILL SET & EXPERIENCE

  • 10+ years of Total Rewards experience with comprehensive responsibilities, including 6+ years in the development and oversight of compensation and benefits programs in fast-paced, global, public companies where software engineering was a key part of the organization
  • Proven experience as a strong organizational leader including the development and motivation of employees, prioritizing objectives, driving strategic plans, measuring effectiveness, and high business acumen
  • Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills (eg. you can summarize complex matters in a succinct style). Active listening is key
  • Savvy modeling and analytical skills with ability to use data in building total rewards plans reconciled with budgets and forecasts
  • Ability to effectively manage several complex projects simultaneously
  • Adept in building relationships with leaders, global cross-functional teams, vendors and partners
  • Familiarity with Workday, Radford, executive compensation consultants, and other global compensation and benefit providers and tools
  • Self-directed but able to be cross-functionally collaborative with employees and teams at all levels
  • Demonstrated success in a fast-moving environment, fast-growing technology companies
  • Calm in the face of uncertainty; comfortable working in a dynamic environment

  • Experience with LATAM compensation trends (specifically Argentina)

We are currently working on becoming compliant with the new regulations in Colorado. Until we are able to do so, this role cannot be performed in Colorado
