THE CHALLENGE

Eventbrite created a dedicated music division whose mission is to build the world’s most powerful live music platform, which will enable music venues and promoters to sell more tickets, streamline operations, and increase revenue. We’re looking for an experienced Marketing Communications Manager to increase product adoption and build brand loyalty by ensuring our clients are aware of and understand the value of our offerings and feel apart of a vibrant community that supports music and technology.


THE TEAM

Our music marketing team is part of Eventbrite’s music division. We’re responsible for marketing initiatives that support client acquisition and retention and for helping our clients promote their events to potential ticket buyers. We develop and execute  go-to-market strategies that drive product adoption, lead client communications and field marketing initiatives that build our brand, and provide strategic marketing support to help our clients sell more tickets.


THE ROLE

Reporting to the Director of Marketing – Music, the Marketing Communications Manager will lead the development and execution of client communications for music venues and promoters, with a strong focus on email. You’ll quarterback the creative and technical aspects of client communications in partnership with a cross-functional team to drive product adoption and client retention. You’ll evolve our existing client communications, including our monthly emails, while looking for opportunities to expand the program to drive higher customer lifetime value (LTV) in coordination with the larger Eventbrite organization. The ideal candidate is a seasoned email marketer with a flare for problem solving and creative writing who’s ready to grow into a strategic role.

YOU WILL

  • Lead our client communications strategy and partner closely with product marketing, sales, client services, and corporate communications teams to increase product adoption and brand affinity with music venues and promoters.
  • Create and execute timely client communications, with a strong focus on email, to drive engagement with top business priorities.
  • Quarterback copywriting, contact-list management, and technical execution with cross-functional contributors.
  • Partner with product marketing and Eventbrite’s customer marketing team to create a customer journey for music venues and promoters that maximizes customer LTV.
  • Regularly track and report on the performance of client communications demonstrating the impact on overall business goals.
  • Implement tests and make recommendations on how to improve our communications.
  • Participate in pilots to bring new customer communications channels online including working out how to manage and report on contacts across channels.
  • Partner with sales and client services to maintain up-to-date client contact listsTroubleshoot technical issues related to HTML templates, list segmentation and other aspects of email execution.
  • Maintain a current understanding of email marketing best practices and apply them to the execution of our email campaigns.
  • Support marketing and brand initiatives with our product marketing, marketing services, social media, and content marketing teams.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally to produce online guides, checklists, blog posts, videos and other types of content to engage new and high-value clients.

THE SKILL SET

  • BA/BS and 5-8  years of marketing communications experience with B2B, SaaS, or e-commerce products, with at least 3 years in email marketing.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects with defined plans, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Excellent written communication and copywriting skills.
  • Experience analyzing email campaigns and managing A/B testing.
  • Experience with email automation, HTML and email marketing software platforms, specifically Marketo and MailChimp.
  • High-confidence, low-ego.

BONUS POINTS

  • Knowledge of and practical experience with the live events, music promoting, and music streaming, including radio and on-demand services.
  • Experience working with data tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau, MixPanel, and Excel.
  • Experience managing website contentHands-on experience creating content for social media.
  • A love of music and live events.
