Full-time | San Francisco | California | United States
In the last decade, Eventbrite and has grown from a small US company to a complex global business, with operations in over 186 countries and 10 offices worldwide. Accompanying this exciting growth is any number of complex regulations and laws impacting, among others, commercial business dealings, payment services, privacy, and ticketing that challenge our day to day operations. Rather that simply react, we want to get out in front, advocate for Eventbrite’s business objectives and our community of users, and form relationships that will propel our mission.
Sitting within the legal department, the Eventbrite policy team partners with internal and external stakeholders to share the Eventbrite story in a way that lends a voice to our community and drive business growth. We seek opportunities at the local and state level, federally, and internationally to advocate for positions we value, and creating opportunity for social impact consistent with those values. The Eventbrite policy team also works with legal and our customer facing teams to create and assist in implementing internal policy strategy.
As an Eventbrite Policy Lead, you’ll use your unsurpassed policy expertise and network relationships to stay immersed and ahead of pertinent regulatory, political, and social issues impacting our business or user community. You’ll play a prominent role in our developing content standards and moderation strategy partnering closely with our Trust and Safety and PR teams to address platform patterns internally before they impact our community or brand. You’ll work closely with our lobbyists and trade association partners on advocacy projects and build multiple social good initiatives on behalf of Eventbrite. This is an opportunity to join at the ground level of a policy function, focus on internal and public policy, and build.
Eventbrite is the world’s leading event technology platform, powering more than three million live experiences each year. We build technology that allows anyone to create, share, find and attend events of all kinds. Music festivals, marathons, conferences, hackathons, political rallies, fundraisers, gaming competitions— you name it, we power it. Meet some of the team.
