Over the last decade, we have built a world-class software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform for event organizers, enabling millions of events globally.  In the process, we have touched millions of consumers, helping them get together, explore their interests, and pursue their passions through live experiences. 

In 2020, in the face of a global pandemic, our self-service ticketing and experience technology platform helped more than 650,000 creators issue over 230 million free and paid tickets to approximately 4.6 million events in nearly 180 countries.  As we look forward to a resurgence of in-person events, we are looking for a highly skilled, experienced technical product manager who can deliver the product perspective to our Frontend Strategy. 


Eventbrite is looking for a Product Manager to help lead the charge as we continue strengthening our web app infrastructure and architecture. In this role, developers are your customer, however everything we do is in service of end-users. The tools and services we provide allow them to focus on building and shipping the unique value to end-users without having to worry about the infrastructure it relies on.

In this role, you will be responsible for the developer experience. You will own all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle. You will empower teams to autonomously own their products while minimizing toil. The Product Manager for this team will work closely with developers, Site Reliability Engineers, and constantly engage with your customers.


  • Ground your work in product thinking by:
  • Championing a product-led approach to frontend software development, hosting, scaling, always advocating for the customer and collaborating widely to deliver the best outcomes for all stakeholders.
  • Establishing a comprehensive and detail-oriented understanding of the needs of your customers and stakeholders. 
  • Building the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the frontend web development platform.
  • Drive progress strategically and tactically by:
  • Managing the full strategic life cycle of your portfolio of products: lead the ideation, roadmapping, technical development, launch, and continuous improvement of innovative and sustaining platform products.
  • Managing tactical execution: partner with internal customer teams to define business requirements, gather and prioritize functional requirements, define use cases and craft product specifications, and govern the product backlog. 
  • Support the team by:
  • Clearly communicating vision, strategy, roadmaps, and progress to a variety of internal customers and stakeholders, including product teams, technical collaborators, and senior leadership.
  • Defining and implementing best practices of the frontend web development platform.


  • Technical prowess. You will take requirements docs to the finish line, and partner with engineers to finalize them. You speak tech lingo, you can research tooling and know how to evaluate the pros and cons of various approaches, and distill goals and requirements down in a way to align them with both technical complexity and technical goals.
  • You understand modern frontend web development technologies and tools, and can communicate these use-cases effectively to partners on different teams and with different levels of technical expertise.
  • You not only espouse “This is what product needs to be delivered", but connect it to the greater technical vision: "This is the idea behind the product, and here is how it relates to our current technical strategy".
  • You help guide the team objectively through challenging, important technical decisions. In a world surrounded by technical experts, you’re able to drive consensus and shared understanding. You embrace that the best decision may not always be the popular one, and help ensure everyone understands and commits to the outcome.
  • You are able to break down technically complex challenges to help teams build compelling products that affect multiple areas of ownership. You are able to connect and communicate the vision between the executive level to an engineering level.
  • Essential ways of working:

  • Extreme attention to detail and ability to self-audit work.
  • Excellent analytical skillsExcellent communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to convey complex requirements in a clear, concise and credible manner
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills 
  • Interest in building tools for developers.
  • Technical PM knowledge and experience: Experience creating functional and technical specifications is a bonus. Experience as a software engineer is necessary. You need to be able to hold your own in the behind-the-scenes technical topics, and translate that into something approachable. A great opportunity for a product-minded engineer to break into the role.
  • 5+ years as a product manager working on data-driven products or platforms
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Experience working with a very technical team on developer-facing products


  • Experience with Frontend web app hosting tools such as Netlify, Vercel, AWS Amplify, Heroku
  • Experience working with Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Technical Experience or strong knowledge in Frontend web app development, specifically React
  • Familiarity with web performance, accessibility and browser compatibility concerns
  • Former engineers with hands-on experience implementing frontend web apps
  • Familiarity at managing infrastructure and hosting, CDNs
  • Familiarity with monorepos, microservice architectures, and associated infrastructure
  • Experience rolling out platform wide changes
