Product Analyst

Contractor | San Francisco | California | United States

We are in exciting, high-growth times here at Eventbrite where the Distribution & Partnerships team is having a significant impact on the growth of Eventbrite’s core business and the value we deliver to our customers. You will play a key role in identifying bottlenecks to future growth and advising stakeholders on product and operational changes to address these bottlenecks. You will work closely with our partner’s data analytics and product teams to identify collaborative approaches to driving growth. You will also play an important role in ensuring we have sufficient monitoring and reporting in place to understand the impact of new product releases and present these insights back to management.

The Distribution & Partnerships team is responsible for recruiting and managing the hundreds of partners that we work with across the globe. We play a critical role in defining our partner strategy, prioritizing which partners and capabilities to focus on, and executing and supporting these partnerships from end-to-end. We are a small team with a large remit and outsized impact on the company’s results.

You’ll serve as an advocate and promoter of our data-driven culture, collaborating closely with Product and Engineering to help them use insights that will direct their efforts towards initiatives with the largest impact and make sure their decisions are as informed as possible. You’ll quantify user activity on the site so future product changes are prioritized appropriately and the user experience is optimally improved.  We’re looking for someone who will provide guidance on new methodologies and analytical approaches and synthesize analysis and results into compelling storylines that they communicate directly to key stakeholders throughout Eventbrite.

You can expect to partner closely with the Distribution & Partnerships Product Manager, along with Partner Managers to identify gaps in product offering by conducting comprehensive data analysis. You’ll define data to be collected for measuring success of new product features, and work with engineering on proper tracking and instrumentation of data. You’ll conquer query optimization problems on large data sets. You will also design and build self-service dashboards using a mixture of analytical and visualization techniques (e.g., Tableau) to derive actionable insight from data.

You’ll investigate anomalies and new data in ad hoc projects with SQL, Presto, Hive, and Excel, and work closely with the product team to properly design and conduct A/B tests for experimental product features. You’ll also work with Sales and Customer Support to quantify user feedback.
