The North America Marketing team works to build authentic, enduring connections with event creators in North America. Our efforts to educate, acquire, and retain event creators are essential in transforming Eventbrite into an iconic customer-centric brand that brings the world together through live experiences.


THE TEAM

The Eventbrite Marketing team is a centralized, multi-disciplinary group of marketers, strategists, designers, storytellers and makers, who work across product groups and functions and countries to help our Creators succeed. As a business, we succeed when our event Creators succeed. We are specialists within our individual areas of expertise and collaborators to connect with, and support our customers at every touchpoint.


THE ROLE

We are seeking a savvy Retention Marketing Specialist who understands digital marketing in the B2B space and how to develop, manage, and optimize marketing campaigns focused on building loyalty and improving retention of our customers. You will focus on increasing lifetime value and reducing churn through customized and powerful marketing efforts at every state of the customer lifecycle. You must have excellent written communication skills, a keen attention to detail, be able to manage multiple concurrent projects, and meet tight deadlines. We're looking for a flexible and collaborative team player who works well in groups where tasks are often shared. If you love using data to drive high-impact projects, this role is for you. 

YOU WILL

  • Report to the Senior Manager, Customer Retention and collaborate to develop retention strategy
  • Implement an integrated marketing strategy to increase retention and drive loyalty of our existing customers across all channels such as: email, display/social retargeting, and print
  • Understand and help develop segmentation strategies; use internal data resources to filter and target appropriate segments and to improve personalization at every touchpoint
  • Increase revenue per customer and improve retention metrics through optimization of current programs and testing new tactics and opportunities
  • Use data to monitor the health of marketing programs and identify areas for improvement; generate data-driven hypotheses that inform strategies for campaigns and initiatives
  • Maintain the health of our customer database, including deliverability, cleanup, and data integrity
  • Be the expert on the customer journey; develop a deep understanding of user behavior and how best to leverage it in pursuit of profitable revenue growth
  • Manage the customer lifecycle journey from first purchase, all the way through churn (win-backs)
  • Partner with Product, Development, Data Science and Analytics to increase marketing sophistication through automation and personalization
  • Partner with the Creative and Editorial teams to align with visual standards and voice guide
  • Stay current on trends and best practices in lifecycle and channel marketing and advise team accordingly
  • Help implement new digital marketing technologies and troubleshoot when needed

THE SKILL SET

  • 2-3 years of B2B marketing experience
  • Experience in conversion optimization, messaging, a/b testing, lifecycle marketing, and post-campaign analysis
  • A keen attention to detail and excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Familiarity with modern marketing automation technologies
  • Solid understanding of web metrics, digital analytics, with the ability to generate, analyze and execute against key performance drivers
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Must be open to feedback and have the ability to work collaboratively to move projects forward quickly and efficiently
  • High energy — must be a self-starter with a sense of urgency to deliver results and the drive to “figure it out” 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication skills; must be comfortable communicating reporting, insights, and data-driven optimization strategies
