THE TEAM:

The SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting Team is responsible for completing all SEC financial filings for Eventbrite Inc and is a crucial part of the Accounting organization.
THE ROLE:
We are seeking a SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting Manager to be a key leader in the Company’s SEC filings and earnings processes, as well as lead or assist in technical accounting projects. Reporting to the Director, SEC Reporting, this position will work cross-functionally with the broader Finance organization and other internal groups such as Investor Relations, Legal, Equity, and Human Resources, as well as interface with outside technical advisors and auditors. This role will also be responsible for compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements for internal controls.
YOU WILL:
Prepare and coordinate information gathering process required for SEC filings (mainly 10-Q's & 10-K's) with various teams including Accounting, Finance, Legal and Investor Relations. Responsible for the compilation of financial statements, management’s discussion and analysis, and footnote disclosures. Performs and documents accounting research and provides technical guidance as needed. Draft and update Accounting Policies, as needed throughout the year. Monitor, assess and implement new accounting pronouncements applicable to the company. Work collaboratively with external auditors and internal auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits. Ensure compliance with all SOX requirement, particularly for stock based compensation and financial reporting Implement process improvements to streamline the financial reporting process and improve information quality.
