Reporting to the Director, Total Rewards, the Senior Benefits Manager is responsible for the on-going strategy, analysis, administration, complex issue resolution and communication of Eventbrite’s benefits plans.

 

THE TEAM

THE ROLE

Manages the development, implementation and maintenance of the company’s benefits programs including vacation, holiday, time off, sick pay, unemployment, retirement plans, disability, flexible spending, service awards, group health/medical/dental coverage, vendor management, wellness and health education initiatives, and life insurance. Develops programs designed to keep employees informed about company benefit plans and any proposed changes. Ensures that programs are current with regard to trends, practices and costs. Negotiates coverage, services and costs with carriers and brokers. Interacts with others in areas, such as the risk management or legal departments, to investigate innovative programs (e.g., self-insurance) to determine feasibility in terms of cost, risk to the company, and legal implications. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.


YOU WILL

  • Implement, administer, and communicate global benefit programs including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life, disability, voluntary programs, wellness, FSA, EAP, COBRA, 401(k)/pension, leave of absence, time-off, etc. for our Britelings around the globe
  • Extensive knowledge of leaves of absence and experience administering leaves of absence
  • Lead Open Enrollment, including HR system administration, data accuracy of benefit information, event planning, program renewals, communications, etc
  • Manage relationships with brokers, consultants, insurers and vendors to ensure timely customer service and accurate cost-effective plan administration
  • Ensure plan compliance with regulatory filings, notices, ACA mandates, plan audits, non-discrimination testing, etc
  • Ensure the reliability, accuracy and security of the benefit data used for reporting and analysis purposes
  • Review and reconcile monthly premium billings
  • Research and evaluate company benefits in order to recommend improvements and new programs which strengthen overall plan design
  • Ensure benefit plan documentation, contracts and amendments are in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements
  • Identify strategies to improve employee communication, education regarding the benefit programs and ongoing marketing of Eventbrite Benefits to Britelings
  • Develop and implement progressive and innovative programs which promote employee health and wellness

THE SKILL SET

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in California and ability to establish and maintain compliance of all plans and programs
  • Attention to detail, strong sense of responsibility and able to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Practice a high level of integrity and honesty in maintaining confidentiality
  • Develops, modifies and executes policies that affect immediate organization
  • Analyzes situations that require in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives
  • Implements strategic policies when selecting methods and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
  • Ensures adherence to budgets, work plans and performance requirements
  • Erroneous decisions will result in critical delays and may affect overall business activities
  • Experience running global and large scale benefits programs
  • Able to present and communicate to Britelings and Senior Leaders on complex benefits concepts in a digestible manner
  • Interacts with senior leaders on matters concerning several functional areas
  • Familiarity with Workday is a plus

We are currently working on becoming compliant with the new regulations in Colorado. Until we are able to do so, this role cannot be performed in Colorado
