Senior Finance Analyst

Full-time | Cork | Ireland

There are exciting things going on behind the scenes at Eventbrite. Our product portfolio is growing and we are rapidly expanding into international markets. Given our growth, our business has become more complex and dynamic. Our Corporate Finance team is evolving its capabilities to address the increased complexity of the business while partnering with Executive leadership, guiding the business throughout this critical phase. Our goal is to provide leadership with accurate, insightful, and action-oriented guidance for decision-making.

The Corporate Finance team partners with the CEO, CFO, and senior company leaders to inform and influence decision-making through timely, accurate analytics, and data-driven business recommendations. We are a fast-moving team who gives structure to complicated issues, immerses ourselves in data collection, and delivers impactful insights and recommendations. If you deal well with ambiguous situations, gravitate towards data driven results, and want to disrupt a massive global industry, let’s talk.

We’re looking for a Senior Finance Analyst to join our Corporate Finance Team to develop scalable financial reporting and analysis, world class processes and work cross functionally with Accounting, FP&A, Tax & Treasury, External Reporting and Investor Relations.

In this role you will focus on helping lead and support the Finance cycles, including monthly close, monthly /quarterly forecasting, business reviews, and long-range planning. You will consolidate, maintain and improve the Close and Forecast models for all 3 financial statements and identify and help drive financial and process improvements per each monthly/quarterly financial reporting cycle. In addition you will develop complex Financial Modelling analysis that allows for clear exposure of investment opportunities, risks and returns for a call to action to be made within the overall Eventbrite portfolio.

The role will include preparing analysis and supporting materials to executive leaders, board members and other leaders as well as establishing and maintaining an agile reporting process using our Enterprise Performance Management Software tool Adaptive Insights to provide easily consumable reports and BvA’s.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in Finance, with emphasis on analytics and cross-functional team collaboration. Experience in corporate finance is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and self-motivate in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment with competing deadlines
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex ideas and analysis
  • Comfortable with pulling information from a range of corporate repositories (finance, accounting, data warehouses, etc.,) and manipulating report outputs into usable forms (SQL, pivot tables)
  • Advanced Excel modelling and analytical skills a must (you should be prepared for a case study)

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and a willingness to work with a high degree of autonomy
  • Experience in a technology publicly traded company
  • Thoughtful planning and strong engagement with key business partners and executives
  • Creative modelling of financial opportunities, ability to impose appropriate framework on nascent business opportunities
  • Experience with Adaptive Insights and Workday accounting

About our Cork Office

Eventbrite's Cork office is a listed, 19th century building that used to be home to a national bank. The high ceilings and huge windows create light and space for the busy, growing team and, at every turn, there is something to discover - from the office library to the real-life vault in the basement!

Having started out as a customer services base, the Cork office is now home to a host of different teams and has a distinct energy as Britelings across different functions collaborate and support each other. The kitchen is full of tasty snacks and you can grab lunch in the break-out area which features a specially commissioned piece of art by a local Cork artist.

Yoga classes on the top floor, a herb garden in the kitchen and meeting rooms named after local landmarks add to the culture of the office - one of pride, growth and fun!
