There are exciting things going on behind the scenes at Eventbrite.  Our product portfolio is growing and we are rapidly expanding into new international markets. Given our growth, our business has become more complex and dynamic.  Our Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis team is evolving its capabilities to address the increased complexity while partnering with Executive leadership, guiding the business throughout this critical phase.  Our goal is to provide leadership with accurate, insightful, and action-oriented guidance for decision-making.  


THE TEAM

The Corporate Finance crew works cross-functionally with Executive leaders and frontline managers across Eventbrite to inform and influence decision-making through timely, accurate analytics, and data-driven business recommendations.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Senior Finance Analyst with a can-do attitude who is willing to challenge traditional thinking and pursue new territory with an entrepreneurial spirit and sense of ownership.  As an experienced, business-minded, and creative problem solver, you will help guide the strategy of our Financial planning while being a critical component to the broader Corporate Finance team.  In this role, you will be an analytical partner to our Head of Corporate Finance and CFO to guide Eventbrite’s evolving Long Range Planning (LRP) model in our pursuit of living at the intersection of happiness and high performance.  You will partner and support the broader Corporate Finance and Partnership Finance teams ensuring an accurate and timely Monthly and Quarterly reporting process.


This role has two important charters. First, you will be looked to as an expert for our LRP Finance model. You will own, develop and scale our current projections taking into account all facets around growth, international expansion, New Revenue opportunities, Margin improvements etc.  The model will maintain all three Financial statements and be a key component to our yearly Financial planning process.


Second, as a member of the Corporate Finance team you will own and manage forecasting, planning and evaluating company-wide Revenue and Cost of Goods Sold.  You will partner with various personnel throughout the business and Finance organization’s identifying key factors and metrics in relation to both our Transactional and non-Transactional revenues, while also helping influence and accurately forecast our Margins and Cost of Goods sold.


THE SKILL SET

  • 4 - 8 years of experience working as an analyst/individual contributor in a fast-paced environment at growth/scaling stage business(es) and partnering with increasing levels of responsibility
  • An analytical mindset comfortable with developing frameworks to aid decision making
  • Ability to communicate persuasively with business partners to resolve highly complex issues while recommending or producing the best solutions
  • Experience forecasting and managing complex excel and Financial planning models including direct experience with Long Range planning
  • Strong communication and executive presence
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a related or quantitative technical field (Statistics, Engineering, Math, Economics, Computer Science, etc.)

BONUS POINTS

  • Experience partnering directly with executive members of an organization including the CFO
  • Adaptive Insights and Workday Financials experience
  • Active Eventbrite user with a passion for live events
