The entire Finance team partners directly with the Business Units (BU’s) to help them achieve Eventbrite’s mission of “bringing the world together through live experiences”.  

We proactively identify risks and opportunities to achieve operating plans, and make recommendations around the optimal allocation of resources. We are looking for a creative and mission driven Procurement professional to join our fast-growing global team. You will lead the Eventbrite global procurement function by centralizing it for the first time. You will build, operationalize, streamline, and ultimately lead a small team of purchasing professionals as we scale the demonstrable value we can create by helping empower our lines of business.

Once established, you will be responsible for the complete procurement lifecycle from “cradle-to-grave” including partnering directly with the BU’s to proactively review ongoing needs, scope development, vendor pool identification, price negotiation, contract optimization, long term total cost of ownership, supplier selection, performance management and monitoring, renewals, governance, risk management, and will be the functional owner of a new vendor management system.

The position is based in the United States. Occasional travel will be required to the Nashville and San Francisco offices, with infrequent travel to our larger international locations. The role will report into the Senior Director, Global Real Estate and Workplace.


  • Partner directly with the Business Units and P&L owners to proactively assess current and future needs, driving continuous process improvement throughout the procurement lifecycle.
  • Lead BU meetings with key stakeholders to review pains and gaps, needs and opportunities, and adjust solutions to optimize value creation.
  • Ensure BU/Finance continual alignment using a strong “consulting” mentality - sharing best practices, financial empathies and acumen, and education.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies based on vetted internal business needs.
  • Utilize in depth data analysis to highlight value creation opportunities and prioritize initiatives.
  • Evaluate data, expose trends, and bring insights to assist the BU’s in making key decisions that optimize value, drive ROI, and create long-term streamlined total costs of ownership.
  • Establish a global vendor management system and lifecycle, including vendor onboarding and off-boarding, tracking, performance, analytics, metrics, actionable reports, alerts, and Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) nurturing and KPI’s.
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities to achieve financial and operational goals.
  • Create efficient and timely workflows for all constituents from scope development through ultimate receipt of goods and services.
  • Be an internal change agent by developing new processes; ensure policies streamline the procure-to-pay lifecycle for goods and services. (P2P)
  • Develop actionable and meaningful KPIs providing useful insight to BU’s, and driving repeatable, sustainable and scalable solutions in everything we do.
  • Recruit, manage, and nurture additional purchasing talent as we scale our value proposition.
  • Partner with key stakeholders during the vendor risk assessment process, with emphasis on assisting cyber security and systems business owners in mission critical best practices.
  • Continuously partner with peers in Accounting, Finance, Legal and IT Systems to affect a seamless experience for the BU’s.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a related field
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience in a role with heavy procurement exposure, vendor management and continual contract management, preferably at a technology company
  • Demonstrated experience reaching out into and partnering with the lines of business and stakeholders to create value for both their goals and the company’s
  • An absolute passion for data analytics to expose actionable insights and trends
  • Experience with purchasing tools, software and implementation methodologies
  • In-depth knowledge of the contract process and terminology
  • Superb communication, interpersonal and influence skills
  • Outstanding organization and negotiation skills, a given
