Over the past 10 years, the Eventbrite team has grown from a small but mighty group in San Francisco to a global community of 800+ employees in over 10 countries. We are scaling our People Operations team to support our domestic and international expansion, and continue our investment in our #1 asset: our people (our “Britelings”).

We are looking for a Senior Manager of Total Rewards to help define and scale our total rewards philosophy to ensure cultural alignment and drive business performance.  You will lead our Total Rewards center of excellence, which plays an integral part of our larger Briteling Experience function including Business Partners, People Operations, Recruiting, Learning and Development, Facilities, IT, and Program Management. As our Total Rewards subject matter expert, you will partner with cross functional teams from Payroll, Accounting, IT, Recruiting, and Business Partners to define and implement total rewards strategy and programs. You are super process and data oriented, love to drive change and performance within an organization, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.


  • Lead the Total Rewards center of excellence to refine and implement our total rewards philosophy and strategy.
  • Lead all compensation and rewards related processes and programs, in partnership with Finance and HR Business Partners where necessary, including compensation and promotion cycles, bonus administration, leveling, equity refresh program, pay decisions, trainings, and other ad-hoc projects.
  • Partner with Finance and HR Business Partners to constantly evaluate and improve total rewards programs and processes. 
  • Drive regular market analyses to ensure competitiveness on our compensation and equity offerings.
  • Support our pre-IPO readiness work from a total rewards perspective. .
  • Partner with the Head of People Operations and CPO on annual budgeting, executive compensation, and preparation for quarterly board compensation committee meetings. 
  • Conduct Manager training and provide support as needed relating to total rewards programs.
  • Partner with external vendors as needed to conduct market research and special projects.


  • 10+ years of progressive experience in HR, with significant concentration in total rewards including global compensation and benefits.
  • Experience designing and administering complex rewards programs globally (base comp, executive comp, sales comp, variable comp/merit, equity, and benefits) for innovative high tech companies of 700-1000+ people, with global operations.
  •  Experience defining a total rewards philosophy, and thinking strategically about what makes sense for a specific company strategy and culture
  • Experience supporting board compensation committees to design executive compensation programs
  • Ability to influence, engage, and partner closely with appropriate business partners across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative work style - team player with low-ego. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage through ambiguity and competing priorities. Outstanding analytical, project management, and critical thinking skills.
  • Can-do, make it happen attitude.
  • BA or BS degree


  • Experience working for a publicly traded company, and/or having gone through the IPO process
  • M&A experience
