Senior Product Operations Manager

  • 401 Bay Street, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, M5H 2Y4
  • Full-time

The last year has been one of unprecedented change and new strategic clarity. As we accelerate out of the pandemic, we now have a strong sense of where we’re going, and what it will take to win. To succeed, we need to build and execute on the capabilities that will allow us to gain the confidence of our event creators and the audiences they depend on. And we need to build and implement the mechanisms and culture of strong operational excellence that will allow us to sustain and strengthen those competitive advantages. We’re off to a good start, but there’s still a lot of work to be done. That’s where we — and you — come in.

The Product Strategy & Operations team is charged with increasing the ROI from our product investments by driving strategic alignment and operational excellence. We do this within Product, Engineering, and Design, and in partnership with other functions. Our scope spans the product lifecycle, from strategic planning through standard dev processes to GTM, with the vision of instilling more consistent alignment, coordination, event creator empathy, value delivery, and accountability at every step.

You’ll be the first Product Operations Manager to work holistically across the dev lifecycle. You’ll play a critical role in our ever-strengthening operating rhythm, with the responsibility to create, implement, and manage a critical set of new and improved operational processes — for example, how we aggregate and amplify customer insights, how we set and manage OKRs and project results, and how we onboard new dev-oriented Britelings. You’ll also identify and lead targeted efforts to make improvements that help PMs and their squads do high-leverage work — for example, in how we manage documentation and assign feature ownership. To make maximum impact, you’ll partner closely with Dev Leadership, PMs, Technical Program Management, the rest of the Product Operations team, and key customer-facing stakeholders.

  • 5+ years of experience working in a technical and operational role, such as product/program management or product operations
  • Highly process-oriented with superb project management, structured thinking, and attention to detail
  • Ability to confidently and credibly direct and influence stakeholders of multiple seniority levels, including executives
  • A demonstrated track record of creating effective structure out of ambiguity, including new program creation
  • Ability to effectively collaborate across a diverse group of stakeholders and backgrounds
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Familiarity with software development processes and related technical concepts, including experience working with JIRA and/or Confluence
  • Adept at thinking strategically and maintaining a big picture perspective
  • Raw intellectual horsepower and a growth mindset
  • Passion for high quality products and their impact on Eventbrite’s creators

  • Experience using Eventbrite’s product as a creator and/or attendee
