Full-time | San Francisco | California | United States
Our environment is fast-paced. We require the ability to work autonomously with minimum supervision and manage aggressive goals. Eventbrite is at a point of growth where we have more large cross-functional initiatives that need to be planned and executed in sync across the company to ensure success. We’re looking for someone with excellent problem solving skills and a passion for making things happen. The right mix of technical, organizational and communication skills is key to success, as is the proven ability to deconstruct large programs into prioritized, manageable and appropriately staffed projects.
The Program Management Team partners closely with Business Unit (BU) leaders across the company to drive towards our company and product goals. We are facilitators, responsible for driving alignment & focus within and across a Business Unit, while ensuring our processes are lightweight and focused on delivering value. We are enablers and problem solvers, responsible for doing what it takes to clear roadblocks at different levels of the organization. We are communicators, charged with bringing visibility and setting expectations between teams cross-functionally and to our stakeholders.
This role has a wide range of responsibilities, from partnering with BU leadership on operationalizing their strategy, to driving strategic cross-functional business initiatives from inception-to-launch, to working day-to-day with our agile development teams.
A day in the life for a Sr. Technical Program Manager could vary. On any given day, you could be:
-Supporting strategic planning with the Head of a Business Unit and the leaders of various functions in the BU to rethink their 3-5 year strategy. (eg. Product, Eng, Sales, Marketing, Support, International GMs)
-Taking the strategy and working with the Product & Engineering leaders to determine resource allocation across the BU, and how the development teams should be formed
-Facilitating the transition of teams to any potentially updated goals coming out of strategic planning.
-Planning & program managing cross-functional initiatives that may span multiple teams within and across BUs. (eg. building the plan, tracking & communicating progress, addressing risk and resolving blockers)
This role requires a highly motivated individual with an eye for spotting risk while keeping perspective on the big picture; someone who can excel in cross-functional collaboration and communication with a drive to make things happen.
THE TECH STACK
We use JIRA Agile across our development teams and the company. Confluence and Google Drive are used for coordination and organization. Familiarity with the tools are an added plus.
Eventbrite is the world’s leading event technology platform, powering more than two million live experiences each year. We build technology that allows anyone to create, share, find and attend events of all kinds. Music festivals, marathons, conferences, hackathons, political rallies, fundraisers, gaming competitions— you name it, we power it. Meet some of the team.
