Head of Copywriting

At Eventbrite, we aim to deliver groundbreaking event organizer tools and attendee experiences, globally. We’re looking for an experienced leader to head up copywriting inside and outside of the product.


The Eventbrite Brand team is a centralized, multi-disciplinary group of strategist, designers,researchers and makers, who work across product groups and functions. We are designing the future and the today of the Eventbrite brand through every interaction within and outside of the product. We are specialists within our individual products, as well as our areas of expertise. Partnering with Product Managers, Engineers and other functions, we conceptualize and craft designs for experiences that will define the success of our business and our brand for the future.


You have a deep portfolio of work that unquestionably demonstrates your superb writing skills—and excellence in bringing branded experiences to life through clear and engaging copy. You’ll partner with Eventbrite Designers, Product Managers, Researchers and Product Marketers to create and optimize copy for new products, features, pages and tools.


  • Plan, write, edit and improve copy for web and mobile experiences, interaction flows, user onboarding, notifications, navigation labels, error states, transactional emails, informative landing pages and more
  • Lead the way by applying our brand voice and tone guidelines to in-product copy, and develop our product lexicon—so we read and speak consistently across all areas of our product
  • Living and breathing the Eventbrite brand personality by making our products and services feel inviting, simple, dynamic and trustworthy
  • Leading copy reviews to elevate our voice and tone making sure we communicate with a clear, branded, point of view
  • Ideate and brainstorm with Designers on broader brand experiences to provide another valuable perspective
  • Sharing your work and providing feedback to teammates
  • Working with localization teams as needed, to ensure the intention behind translated copy is accurately captured.


  • 5+ years of copywriting experience with interactive/ad agencies, design studios, or Internet companies and a portfolio that demonstrates polished, finished projects that showcase your contributions and impact
  • Experience writing for mobile and responsive content. Writing for internationalization also a plus
  • A talent for empathetic writing and delivering great user experiences based on user research
  • Ability to think big and understand complex feature sets
  • Ability to distill complicated topics into language that anyone can understand
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple parallel projects
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • BA/BS degree in Journalism, English, Communications or other communication major.
