Millions of creators are turning to Eventbrite to connect with our dataset of hundreds of millions of attendees. The ideal candidate will have the broad range of technical skills required to deliver data-driven solutions. They will be up to date on best practices in deep learning and ads/recommendation systems with familiarity in the state-of-the-art research in the field. They will be experienced in building and scaling processes which compute over massive amounts and velocities of data. You will be among a talented group of engineers tasked with developing ad bidding and delivery systems. Finally, an ideal candidate will be working closely with stakeholders to translate technical insight into tactics and strategic opportunities.
You will be building data pipelines and machine learning workflows to support the creation of a new advertising product. You will derive insights from Eventbrite’s massive attendee dataset to guide the development of ad delivery and auction systems. Your success in this endeavor will be directly responsible for a highly-visible new portion of Eventbrite’s business.
THE TECH STACK
As this is a new team and a new product, you will have significant input on the tech stack that is used. That being said, Eventbrite uses a modern, service-oriented architecture with extensive existing data science infrastructure. Our existing data pipelines are managed by luigi and run on AWS EMR, so you would be interacting with these technologies extensively.
