In 2020, in the face of a global pandemic, our self-service ticketing and experience technology platform helped more than 650,000 creators issue over 230 million free and paid tickets to approximately 4.6 million events in nearly 180 countries. As we look forward to a resurgence of in-person events, we are looking for a highly skilled, experienced technical product manager who can deliver the product perspective to build the next generation communication platform that will enable us to scale the business through a smart and scaled platform that enables us to deliver the right message to the right creators and consumers at the right time.
The Communications platform team is working to build a smart, scalable, and flexible communications platform that delivers the best messages to our users at the best time and frequency, benefiting millions of creators and attendees around the globe. Building on more than 12 years of events, we have a huge opportunity to enable creators to organize more successful events and help consumers discover and attend new live experiences. This role puts you at the center of that opportunity, working shoulder-to-shoulder with the engineering teams, bringing a product perspective, and driving the organization to deliver advancements to the platform via research, analysis, and infrastructure improvements.
THE SKILL SET
3+ years as a product manager working on data-driven products or platforms.
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent Computer Science degree.
Experience working with a very technical team on developer-facing products.
Very comfortable with data (cleaning, structuring, analyzing) and a strong understanding of SQL.
Ability to take initiative and produce results with great communication and collaboration skills.
Passion to learn and to mentor others.
Former engineers with hands-on experience with communications platforms such as emails or push notifications.
Proven experience building and integrating machine learning tools to drive business impact.
Knowledgeable about email deliverability metrics.
Familiarity with microservice architectures and associated infrastructure.
Experience being on a scrum team and/or is a scrum master.
Speaking/organizing in the community.
