Treasury Analyst

THE CHALLENGE

Eventbrite’s Treasury team is focused on optimizing the Company’s balance sheet, while partnering with the business to facilitate growth and protect the Company's assets.  We collaborate with internal and external partners to provide analysis and support to the CFO and strategies implemented to drive growth.  You’ll make creative yet calculated decisions that are backed by both experience and your knowledge of finance and Eventbrite’s business. 

THE TEAM

As a member of the Treasury team, you're always looking for innovative ways to protect Eventbrite’s balance sheet, optimize liquidity, and manage risk.  You’ll partner with stakeholders throughout the Company and play a significant role as you analyze and support managing Eventbrite’s banking, payment, and risk programs.  The Treasury Analyst will be part of a team of strategic advisors to the business and develop relationships with key partners to optimize Eventbrite’s balance sheet.    

THE ROLE

The Finance team is tasked with developing creative solutions to complex financial issues.  As a Treasury Analyst, you’ll work cross-functionally with other teams and externally with Eventbrite’s corporate banking, risk, and finance partners to assist the Company in achieving its goals in balance sheet optimization and operational excellence.  This multidimensional role calls for relationship management, exceptional analytical skills, and a desire to learn how to govern balance sheet functions.  Additionally, this role will support our Strategic Finance team in ad hoc projects. 

YOU WILL

• Liaise with our global banking partners to support Eventbrite’s global operations, including managing global bank account administration, updating bank signatories, performing quarterly signatory reviews with our banks, managing account services, maintaining list of bank accounts and bank portal administration.
• Global account administration and management, including audit, compliance and system related requests.
• Partner with members of finance and accounting to execute funding, wires, and other bank related transactions in an efficient manner.  
• Assist in the cash positioning for foreign entities and payment of intercompany invoices.
• Drive the month and quarter-end reporting and analysis to support finance and accounting teams.  
• Support the regional cash management process and partner with teams in finance to forecast activity. 
• Assist with the annual FBAR reporting and filing process.
• Contribute to periodic FX risk assessment as needed.
• Collaborate on ad hoc projects as needed, including projects within the Strategic Finance. organization.
• Help maintain existing and implement new best practices and drive process improvements.

THE SKILLSET

• Minimum of 2 years work experience in Treasury or related Finance field
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics (or related fields) 
• Experience with 404/SOX compliance  
• Ability to manage relationships and partner with external partners as necessary

BONUS POINTS

• Advanced use of Excel and (or) google sheets
• Experience working with international organizations
