Full-time | San Francisco | California | United States

The Eventbrite Marketing team is a centralized, multi-disciplinary group of strategists, designers, researchers, and makers, who work across product groups and functions. We are designing the future and the today of the Eventbrite brand through every interaction within and outside of the product.

As the VP of Communications, you will define and establish our communications strategy and voice, leading efforts to bring our story to the world by building strong relationships with key audiences, both externally and internally. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the ideal candidate will have a proven record of success building technology brands and establishing relationships with key agencies. The role requires someone with extensive experience growing and guiding a savvy team of curious and determined multi-disciplinary experts, with oversight of corporate communications, media relations, partner communications and internal communications.

  • Create campaigns that drive global awareness and impact of the brand
  • Craft an executive platform for the leadership team that conveys the mission and values of the brand, both internally and externally
  • Establish and own the relationship with external partners and agencies
  • Lead the corporate communications function, assisting executives with messaging and delivery, and serving as spokesperson where necessary and as appropriate
  • Build and manage a strong global communications team with diverse perspective, but singular commitment and focus on a common set of goals and ideas
  • Collaborate with peers on the digital team to advise on paid tactics and campaigns including company-wide communications
  • Work closely with the product, content and engineering teams, as well as other internal stakeholders, to discover and share stories that further the company’s goals
  • Ability to understand the constraints that come with being a newly public company, and knowing where we have an opportunity to push for a more favorable solution.
  • Stay well ahead of marketing and media trends and contribute new innovative, breakthrough ideas that help the growth of the company

  • 15+ years of strategic communications experience, with deep expertise in technology that connects to cultural interest
  • A track record of building consensus and delivering high-impact global communications initiatives
  • Proven ability to develop strategy and execute day-to-day tactics through strong management
  • A clear demonstration of internal cross-functional partnership and collaboration
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfort with changes in a fast-paced environment
