Discovery is critical to Eventbrite. Some of our consumers already come to Eventbrite with the event they want to purchase tickets to already in mind, but many others are looking to find something that matches their interests. Furthermore, our customers often browse the site to get inspired and discover that cool live experience they never knew existed. Helping consumers explore and discover events they’d like is a tough challenge, but can improve their experience of Eventbrite immensely if done right.
You’ll be joining an amazing team of Product Managers to focus on building a great consumer experience that is engaging, frictionless, and delightful on any screen and any device. This is a unique opportunity to influence our product in a huge way.
We are constantly evolving how consumers interact with Eventbrite. The Consumer Product Management team is charged with building a world-class user experience for our millions of users. We define and prioritize what to build and when, making sure we delight our customers, and always deliver products that we feel proud of. After all, we are all consumers of our own products, frequently purchasing tickets for and attending live events worldwide.
You’ll shape the future of Eventbrite Discovery by defining its vision, strategy and roadmap. You’ll redefine what is best in class for Eventbrite recommendations, search and browse, gather and specify product requirements, understand customer pain points and opportunities for product improvements. You’ll work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders and collaborate with peer product managers on the team to ensure alignment with our overall consumer product strategy. You’ll bring a passion for the consumer, a do-what’s-right attitude, and leverage data to track performance and measure success. You’ll go above and beyond to build great products that we all are excited to use and share with our customers.
THE SKILL SET
5 years of product management with analytics experience
Passion for live events, frequently attending events and buying tickets online
Self-starter with proven track record of execution and results in consumer products
Passionate about emerging mobile and web technologies, with good technical level understanding
Proven ability to work cross-functionally, collaborate, influence and work as part of a team
Excellent written and oral communication skills
BS degree in a technology-related field
Former expertise with working on discovery
Graduate degree in Computer Science, or experience working with applied researchers
Experience as a UI/UX Designer, Researcher and/or Front-end Developer
Experience as event organizer and corresponding technologies, beyond the consumer side
Prior startup experience
MBA or strong business acumen is a plus
